Abstract

Amidst the surging demands of the thriving e-commerce industry, the intricate task of manual singulation from bulk shipments has become a critical operational challenge. This research introduces a cutting-edge automated solution, seamlessly integrating a robotic arm with computer vision technology. The proposed system efficiently identifies, picks, and accurately puts parcels, where they need to be, streamlining the singulation process. Leveraging the YOLO algorithm, computer vision ensures accurate parcel detection within bulk shipments. Additionally, the integration of the Robot Operating System (ROS) enhances the coordination and control of the robotic arm, contributing to a seamless workflow. This automated approach not only elevates operational efficiency but also addresses the intricacies of manual singulation, effectively meeting the escalating demands of the e-commerce sector.
