Abstract
This paper explores the field of robotics with a focus on the design, simulation and control aspects of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). AUVs’ crucial role in underwater exploration, monitoring and data collection requires advanced imaging and control techniques to improve their effectiveness and reliability. In this study, we propose a comprehensive framework for the design, modelling and integration of various systems into the AUV using the most advanced robotics principles. various control strategies and algorithms are tested, optimized, and validated, facilitating the enhancement of AUV’s capabilities. Using high-precision sensors and complex algorithms for localization, mapping and object detection enables our AUV the capability to perform industry-demanding tasks. The proposed framework not only accelerates AUV research and development but also provides a cost-effective platform for testing complex algorithms before field deployment. The insights gained from this research have the potential to reshape the underwater robotics landscape by driving innovation and efficiency in AUV design and operation.
