Abstract
Flood disasters are one of the most common natural disasters in the world. Traditional flood search and rescue robots have problems such as limited perception, weak autonomy, and poor durability. Multi-sensor information fusion technology can improve the accuracy and analysis ability of measurement data, and is applied to rescue robots to enhance their environmental perception and decision-making capabilities. Therefore, this paper proposes a search and rescue robot system design based on multi-sensor information fusion, which can improve the search and rescue efficiency and success rate in flood disasters. The system uses GPS, IMU, sonar, camera, life detection and thermal imaging sensors to collect current environmental information and life information. After testing, the results show that the system can effectively search and rescue people who fall into the water in flood disasters, and improve the search and rescue efficiency and success rate.
