Abstract

In recent years, the explosion of IoT technology, especially with the development of 5G, edge computing and other technologies, has enabled the application of artificial intelligence technology at the edge, which can be used in more and more industrial use scenarios. The algorithm of vision sensing based on target detection, tracking and ranging has the advantages of accuracy, efficiency and intelligence, which will greatly improve the intelligent sensing capability of mobile robots when applied to mobile robots, and further improve the robot's adaptability to the environment by realizing real-time map building and navigation based on LiDAR. In this paper, we have studied the transport mobile robot and built a ROS-based target following and navigation system. The visual perception and simple following tasks of this transportation robot for surrounding pedestrian targets and unmanned transportation tasks for materials are completed.
