The Application Research of Computer Vision in Bridge Health Monitoring

Abstract

This paper uses computer vision to detect surface cracks and deformation (deflection) of the bridge, through robot vision technology uses CCD (Charge Coupled Device) camera to capture surface cracks and deformation of the bridge, then processes its image, estimates whether the bridges exists security risks by morphological analysis, ensures the safety of large bridges and prolongs its life.
