Abstract

Terahertz tomography based on time-of-flight imaging is a promising technology for non-destructive testing of composite material. Vertical incidence is necessary for this terahertz technique, making it difficult to serve for the real life application, since kinds of curved surfaces are frequently met. Combining robot arm and terahertz system is a practical solution, and in this paper, some efforts to improve the efficiency of measurement, accuracy of result, and representation of three-dimensional imaging are introduced. The efforts on research and development of terahertz non-destructive testing will promote it entry into our real life and solve practical application problems.
