Abstract
Gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) are frequently employed to assess wastewater for semivolatile organic constituents and are useful tools for the performance evaluation of bench scale biological reactor systems. To expedite these analyses, a microextraction procedure was developed and adapted to robotics. This paper discusses the robotic sample preparation sequence and presents some of the results obtained using this method.
