Abstract
This paper presents some challenges considering planetary MANET networks deployment. The radio visibility distance between robotic nodes is determined, and the duration of a communication session between two neighboring robotic devices is estimated. The duration of the communication session with the mutual movement of the nodes using a retransmission is defined. The dependence of the maximum number of retransmissions of a packet with a given probability of delivery on the number of devices in the radio visibility is obtained.
