Abstract
At present, the hospital intravenous infusion medications are generally dispensed by nurses. There are some problems during the dispensing process, such as the dispensing nurses are easily scratched by the incision of ampoule, the drug is susceptible to contamination, toxic drugs damage the health of the dispensing nurses, and long-time dispensing is labor intensive and prone to misoperation. In view of the above problems, a novel intravenous infusion dispensing robot system is designed and implemented in this paper. Firstly, through the analysis of the hospital manual dispensing process, the dispensing robot architecture and the robot dispensing process are proposed. Then, by analyzing the various types of drugs, the variety of the specifications of the vials, and the complicated dispensing process, a robot control system based on expert system is designed and implemented. Finally, the dispensing robot system platform is built up and the dispensing experiments for the actual doctor's prescription are performed. The results show that the robot system in this paper can automatically complete the drug dispensing of the doctor's infusion prescription, which has a potential application prospect.
