Abstract

Internet of Thing based river cleaning technology offers an innovative solution to the escalating problem of water pollution in rivers and other aquatic environments. This autonomous device employs advanced IoT technologies to continuously and efficiently sanitize aquatic environments. Several sensors, cameras, and GPS equip the robot to navigate a river and detect pollution, garbage, and other forms of contamination. The robot's internal collection mechanism allows for the collection of floating debris, which is a significant contributor to river pollution while providing thorough and targeted debris avoidance and removal in both navigable and non-navigable areas. The robot's ability to monitor in real-time is one of its greatest advantages. Through its IoT data collection. the robot collects data on the condition of the water, such as pollution levels and types of pollution. The robot then sends this data to a centrally located system for a remote view of the robot's work and the general health of the river. This water data allows the remote operators to control the robot with precision, directing it to the most polluted areas and altering cleaning strategies accordingly. The river-cleaning system equipped with IoT technology improves the effectiveness of cleaning activities, while reducing human labor and the risks associated with human intervention in polluted environments. Besides the immediate challenges associated with pollution, the robot supports the larger project of ecological sustainability by encouraging clean water bodies, protecting aquatic life forms, and maintaining sustainable urban and rural development practices.
