Abstract
Premises security is of paramount importance in ensuring the safety and protection of buildings and facilities. In this paper, we present an integrated premises security system utilizing a mini robot car equipped with Raspberry Pi 4, DC motor controller, and diverse monitoring sensors and devices. The system's objective is to achieve autonomous navigation, object detection, picture capturing, real-time video streaming, and remote monitoring for enhanced situational awareness and proactive threat detection. The data collected by the robot car are seamlessly transmitted to the Google Firebase cloud, ensuring efficient storage and accessibility. To enable remote monitoring, we develop a custom web application that interfaces with the Google Firebase cloud, providing real-time access to the captured data. This application empowers security personnel to monitor the premises, analyze the streamed videos and pictures, and make informed decisions based on the gathered information. Through successful real-time testing, utilizing real hardware with specially designed software, the implemented system demonstrated its functionalities, effectiveness, and reliability, offering a comprehensive and proactive approach to safeguarding the premises.
