Abstract
In the context of the multiple mobile robot system developed by our research group, we have implemented what we call virtual constraints, that is, user-defined lines that affect the behavior of the elements of the system. Experiments (herding and assembly tasks) show that virtual constraints help the user to control multiple mobile robots.
