Abstract
In the past 50 years the robots are used in the purpose of scientific research, in the fields like the aviation research, military purpose and also different types of security purposes, in the companies it is used as a substitute for the human beings and in various fields that are under development. Usually there are 3 types of driving mechanisms currently in use and they are electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic. The electrical systems use dynamo to power the robots. There is only a need of a simple power resource needed to make the electrical drive work unlike the pneumatics and the hydraulic driving systems requires more moving parts. One of a main disadvantage in the existing technology is that it will not maneuver the heavy object. They are most utilized in latter sized machine. The hydraulic-driven system uses the dynamo for pumping the liquid to the storage unit and then using piston to compress the oil and then create the force to drive the robot. The pneumatic driving system also contains the same set of merits to that of the hydraulic driven machinery. The pneumatics generates the rapid movement with a minimum force. Some of the industries uses the pneumatic system driving force as they are cheap. The main reason is that air is easier to compress and the movements are accurate also the precision of the movement-control are lower. Therefore the pneumatic system requiers few needed equipments to identify position.
