Abstract
A robot control language (ARCL) which is based on Pascal-like syntax is presented. Language constructs are designed to allow robot motion control with relative and absolute commands to all its motors. In addition, sensory control of robot sensors is allowed by enable and disable commands. Robot speech is programmed using phonemes, and a dictionary of commonly used words facilitates speech programming. Implementation of a language cross-compiler with an IBM PC as the host machine and a HERO robot as the target robot/processor, is discussed.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
