Abstract

Software Technologies and Health Management: an Assessment on HIMSS or Digital Hospital ServicesNowadays health technologies are the main supporter of the healing process.Developments in this area have become direct intriguing factors in the human health.Even though every good thing has its defects, in terms of medical equipment and technology production is local and national or not, efficient and productive use of national resources and addiction risk sensitive actors has occurred as fundamental problem of thinking.Keeping in mind this side of the matter, contribution of hardware aspects of scanning and laboratory equipments, surgical robotics and many products used in the health sector on human health has been considered more.Thus, this study aims at assessing processing of health data via software technologies and attractive simplicity of accessing health services properly and on time when needed in the case of Turkey.Health technologies are essential in the healing search process.Developments in this area have direct influences in the human health.Implementation of widely accepted HIMSS Emram (digital hospital) standards in the Turkish public hospitals and transition to the paperless hospital model is a further step in the health technologies in Turkey.Thus, it is aimed to remove the paper from the entrance of a patient for all the processes such as diagnosis, treatment, laboratory, imaging, nursing, pharmacy, billing etc.This article discusses the status of the use of the software and latest technological developments in the health services in Turkey.
