Abstract
Nowadays, the research in a mobile robot filed progresses rapidly. Various research groups deal with the mobile robots with a different way of motion, sensory equipment, communication interface and type of control. The goal is to design and assemble a control subsystem that would be applicable to the various types of the mobile robots with a different locomotion, sensory equipment, communication interface and type of control. Moreover, it is required that it is economical and easy to operate. As a consequence, such a subsystem will be built on a PIC microprocessor platform.
