Abstract
Sound source localization technology is a key technology for robot hearing. People have done a lot of research in different aspects. In this paper a microphone array based sound source localization method for mobile robot is proposed. The method proposed combines the advantages of the sound source localization method based on microphone array and the one based on double microphones, simplifying the procedure of the sound source localization, reducing the algorithm complexity, and improving the real-time performance of sound source localization of the mobile robot. The principle and performance of the proposed algorithm are analyzed in detail, and the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by experiments.
