Abstract
An original method of minimally invasive abdominal gas hypothermia is proposed and simulated. The whole cavity cooling can be performed by using pneumoperitoneum gas with additional liquid local intensification (for example, water and ice slurry). The main problem in the realization of the process is the difficulty in dosing. This can be solved using computer simulation, which allows obtaining the preliminary cooling parameters for hypothermia before the operation. This research is aimed at simulation of the conjugate heat transfer between the cooling fluid and the solid body (biological tissue). Recommendations and maximum intensities of cooling scenarios for this procedure are presented. These recommendations were developed for the methodology relating to robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. The data obtained should be used for planning operations and developing cooling systems.
