Application and Consequences of Service Robots in Tourism and Hospitality Scenarios: A Systematic Literature Review

Abstract

This study comprehensively reviews the literature on robotics’ uses in the tourism and hospitality industries. Through descriptive and content analyses, 121 articles on robotics applications were examined. The results of this investigation showed that the majority of studies were carried out in the setting of hospitality. This article identified potential directions for future academic research. The adoption of robots was discussed in terms of its practical ramifications for industry practitioners.
