Abstract
This tutorial presents the idea of computational intelligence and its application to robotics and automation. Firstly, the basics for computational intelligence are introduced, including neural networks, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computation, and advanced methodologies are then shown in detail. Next, application examples are given and shown how they can improve the conventional methods and how they can solve problems in the field of intelligent systems of robotics and automation.
