Abstract

Low-cost FDM 3D printing transforms consumer 3D printers into automated lab equipment including liquid handlers, imaging devices, robotic arms, and bioprinters, cutting costs by 90–99% versus commercial alternatives to enable affordable self-driving laboratories.
