Abstract
The da Vinci surgical system is being used for a wide range of surgical tasks. As the applications of this robot increase, more and more surgeons would like to acquire this piece of equipment. There are a wide range of expensive and sophisticated accessories and instruments that come along with this machine, that need special care and attention. The aim of this chapter is the make the user familiar with the various parts of the robot and to provide guidelines for the safe usage of this equipment.
