Abstract

A review of actual knowledges on Hough transform is presented . At first, a general definition is given to enclose all
\nexisting variations of the original method . Then, the relationships between template filtering and Radon Transform
\nare stressed, and we describe the performance evaluation methods . Problems of paranteter space quantization are
\ntreated, and we finish with a review of the main applications of Hough transform in the fields of robotics, picture
\nprocessing, pattern recognition and scene analysis .
