Abstract
Human body gesture recognition is a common problem in human–robot interaction. Presented is a novel method for body gesture recognition using a RGB-Depth camera. The proposed technique is able to recognise body gestures, which allow communication between human and robot in order to perform a set of actions by a robot. Also presented is a simple, but fast and effective method for body gesture recognition, which includes illumination invariant skin-colour segmentation.
