Overview
Freedom Eagle-1 (FE-1) is a next-generation interceptor developed by AeroVironment (AV) and BlueHalo. It is a low-cost, high-performance missile designed to counter Groups 2 and 3 UAS, with residual capability against Group 1 UAS, fixed-wing, and rotary-wing aircraft. The system features increased lethality, extended range, and rapid launch capabilities. Key milestones include successful live-fire demonstrations, dual-thrust solid rocket motor tests, controlled test vehicle launches, and warhead testing. FE-1 supports scalable, cost-effective defense against mass aerial threats.
