摘要

Individuals with ataxia often demonstrate unstable gait with high variability. Wearable robotic exoskeletons can be programmed to control limb dynamics and joint coordination patterns and, as a result, may facilitate walking recovery for these individuals. This case study explored the effects of this training paradigm on the gait quality and performance of an adolescent with ataxia. It was observed that robotic assisted gait training resulted in decreased gait speed and improved gait symmetry.
