Engineering and scientific curriculum issues of including nanotechnology, robotics, life extension and virtual reality in basic requirements

摘要

It is argued that the existing engineering curriculum does not adequately prepare students to confront the technological changes of the 21st century. Accordingly, it is proposed that nanotechnology, robotics, life-extension, and virtual reality be included in the curriculum. It is concluded that the proposed additions to the current curriculum can create an educational environment for future engineers and scientists.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">&gt;</ETX>
