摘要

This chapter investigates the industrial applications of intelligent robots and autonomous systems in Industry 4.0 perspective. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and autonomous technology have yielded the most remarkable applications that impact our lives since the beginning of the 2000s. Some of the most prominent applications include, but are not limited to, self-driving cars, drones, weapon systems, unmanned spacecraft exploring space, underwater robots exploring the deep ocean, software agents used in financial decision making, and deep learning methods used in medical diagnosis. Robots are also powerful devices that take part in AI research efforts. AI and artificial neural networks (ANN) are interconnected domains in computer science. AI can be successfully executed through ANN. Machine learning (ML) deals with the building process of computers that can improve themselves through experience. The field of ML is the foundation of AI and data science, and it is situated at the intersection of computer science and statistics.
