About
Zengwu Shao is a pioneering surgeon and researcher whose work centers on the application of advanced robotic systems in complex pelvic and spinal surgeries. His major contributions lie in demonstrating the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of the da Vinci surgical robot for treating presacral nerve sheath tumors, a challenging anatomical region where traditional open surgery carries high morbidity.
