About
N. Danilyants is a gynecologic surgeon and researcher whose work centers on minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of uterine conditions, with a particular focus on improving patient outcomes while optimizing healthcare value. Danilyants has made notable contributions to the field of laparoscopic surgery, most prominently through research on laparoscopic-assisted myomectomy combined with bilateral uterine artery occlusion and ligation — a technique designed to overcome the limitations of conventional laparoscopic and robotic-assisted myomectomy while reducing the complications associated with traditional abdominal approaches. This work, which has garnered 14 citations since its 2018 publication, offers a meaningful advance for patients with multiple or large uterine fibroids. Danilyants has also pioneered value-based assessments of minimally invasive hysterectomy approaches, including the less commonly discussed laparoscopic retroperitoneal hysterectomy, examining how surgical outcomes can be weighed against cost to guide more sustainable healthcare decision-making. Collectively, this body of work reflects a dual commitment to surgical innovation and healthcare efficiency, making Danilyants a valuable voice in the ongoing conversation about how gynecologic surgery can be made both clinically superior and economically responsible.
