About
Heri Subianto is a pioneering neurosurgeon whose work centers on minimally invasive epilepsy surgery, particularly for complex pediatric cases. His major contributions lie in advancing endoscope-assisted and robotic-guided techniques to treat drug-resistant epilepsy. In a landmark 2018 comparative study (43 citations), Subianto demonstrated that endoscope-assisted interhemispheric transcallosal hemispherotomy—performed with robotic guidance and a hybrid technique—achieves outcomes comparable to open hemispherotomy, but with significantly reduced invasiveness and complications.
