G. B. Sanders is a space exploration engineer and researcher whose career has centered on one of the most transformative challenges in modern spaceflight: teaching spacecraft and astronauts to "live off the land." Working primarily through NASA's Johnson Space Center, Sanders has been a pioneering figure in In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU), the science and engineering discipline focused on extracting and processing local planetary resources to support human and robotic missions.
