Donald M. Hassler is a pioneering space physicist whose research centers on planetary radiation environments, space weather, and the habitability of Mars. As Principal Investigator of the Radiation Assessment Detector (RAD) aboard NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) Curiosity rover, Hassler has fundamentally advanced our understanding of the Martian radiation environment.
