About

Alok Prakash is a leading researcher at the intersection of cyber-physical systems (CPS) security, embedded system-on-chip (SoC) design, and intelligent robotic control. His work addresses critical challenges in securing increasingly complex, interconnected domains such as avionics, automotive electronics, and robotics. Prakash’s highly cited 2017 paper, “Secure Cyber-Physical Systems: Current trends, tools and open research problems” (36 citations), provides a foundational framework for identifying attack surfaces in CPS, a vital step for ensuring system integrity. He further advanced the field with his 2021 study on “Trends and Challenges in Ensuring Security for Low-Power and High-Performance Embedded SoCs” (12 citations), tackling the trilemma of security, power efficiency, and performance in modern embedded devices for electric vehicles and AI. Most recently, his pioneering 2025 work, “RoboMT,” introduces a novel Hybrid Mamba-Transformer framework for bilateral teleoperation, enabling human-like compliance control in delicate assembly tasks. By fusing bio-inspired adaptability with advanced deep learning, Prakash is shaping the next generation of secure, efficient, and dexterous autonomous systems.
