About
Alice Lu is a pioneering biochemist whose work has fundamentally advanced our understanding of Alzheimer’s disease pathology. Her primary research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of amyloid β-protein (Aβ) metabolism and the proteolytic enzymes that regulate its clearance in the brain. Lu’s most impactful contribution came with her landmark 2003 study, which introduced novel fluorescence- and fluorescence polarization-based assays for quantifying Aβ degradation kinetics.
