About
Dr. M.D. Violet is a pioneering experimental space physicist whose work has fundamentally advanced our understanding of plasma interactions in low Earth orbit. Her primary research areas include spacecraft charging, plasma wake physics, and high-voltage interactions in space environments. Dr. Violet’s most significant contribution stems from her leadership in the Charging Hazards and Wake Studies (CHAWS) flight experiments, conducted aboard Space Shuttle missions STS-60 and STS-69.
