ASIMO is Honda’s bipedal humanoid research robot developed to demonstrate advanced walking/running, balance, and human interaction. It is 1.3 m tall, weighs ~48 kg, has 57 degrees of freedom, and can carry a 1 kg object while walking. It uses a 51.8-V lithium-ion battery, runs VxWorks, and is equipped with multiple sensors. ASIMO was not sold commercially and has been retired.
