Hepicopter

Hepicopter is a medical-logistics drone developed by Hepicopter, the medical delivery subsidiary of Marut Dronetech (Marut Drones), a Hyderabad, India-based UAV manufacturer founded in 2019 by Prem Kumar Vislawath. The Hepicopter carries up to 16 kg of payload over a 40 km range and was deployed in September 2021 in Vikarabad district, Telangana, as part of India's first drone-based medicine delivery project ('Medicine From The Sky'), delivering COVID-19 vaccines and medical supplies to ~15 public health centres. Operations were conducted under pre-programmed GPS waypoints with regulatory conditions that initially required VLOS, though the launch event was framed as a BVLOS demonstration.
