Atlas
Boston DynamicsAtlas is Boston Dynamics' electric humanoid robot designed for industrial material handling. The production version, unveiled at CES January 2026, stands 1.9m tall, has 56 degrees of freedom, a 2.3m reach, and can lift up to 50 kg instantaneously (30 kg sustained). It is designed for autonomous operation in factory environments with minimal human supervision, self-navigating to charging stations and performing self-battery swaps. All 2026 deployments are committed to Hyundai RMAC and Google DeepMind, with broader availability from early 2027, though union opposition at Hyundai plants in Korea remains an active constraint.
