ANAFI

The Parrot ANAFI is a family of compact, foldable micro-UAVs (including ANAFI, ANAFI USA, ANAFI Ai, and ANAFI UKR variants) developed by Parrot, a European micro-UAV company listed on Euronext Paris. The platform is designed for ISR, public safety, and defense applications, featuring onboard AI, optical/GNSS-denied navigation, thermal imaging, and up to 70 minutes of flight time (XLR battery). The ANAFI UKR variant has seen significant NATO/defense procurement momentum in 2025–2026, including Finnish Defence Forces orders via NSPA and integration into a major European armored vehicle program. However, independent community reports document recurring hardware reliability issues—including gimbal failures, mid-flight WiFi/control disconnects, motor failures, and RTH malfunctions—that temper vendor autonomy and reliability claims. Research use of the platform is extensive, with third-party ROS packages and custom controllers (MPC, RL) developed to overcome limitations in the default PID-based flight controller.
