Development of the spiritual and moral culture of medical students in the context of Christian values

Abstract
The article discusses the problem of educating the spiritual and moral culture of medical university students from the perspective of innovations in medicine, the conceptual provisions of the Strategy of education in the Russian Federation and the experience of Christianity accumulated over thousands of years. The landscape of domestic healthcare is changing in the context of commercialization, the creation of digital patient profiles, the use of telemedicine and artificial intelligence, robotic surgery and other breakthrough technologies. The rise of medicine to a new level provokes a rethinking of the methodology of teaching humanities at a medical university with an increased cultural component.Christianity and Christian culture act as the moral foundation of medicine. The key concepts that build the trajectory of the formation of the moral ideal of a doctor are mercy and compassion. In modern Russia, professional communities of Orthodox doctors cooperate with educational organizations, take part in events on civic and patriotic education of young people, broadcast the best practices of interaction with patients based on Christian values, and promote public health.The mission of the teachers of the higher medical school is to use pedagogical technologies in the educational process of the university aimed at the harmonious development of professional and personal qualities, spiritual and moral culture of future doctors. The purpose of this study is to describe pedagogical technologies, methods and means of educating medical students of spiritual and moral culture, ideas about the future profession through the prism of Orthodox culture and Christian values in the study of pedagogy.
