Abstract

The intersection of sustainable development and Artificial Intelligence (AI) through a human rights lens has been widely discovered throughout this paper. It looks at how AI technology may support human rights values while helping to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).The integration of AI in healthcare represents a transformative shift, offering improved medical treatment, diagnostics, and societal health outcomes. However, alongside these advancements come ethical, safety, and equity concerns that cannot be overlooked.Robotics, a expanding field within AI, has gained traction in the medical sector.Praised as a critical solution to healthcare challenges, robotics is seen as essential for achieving SDGs.Many of India's leading hospitals have adopted robotic surgery and clinical support services.Yet, questions persist about the widespread acceptance and accessibility of these technologies, particularly among rural populations.Addressing this issue requires consideration of state support and resources. This paper aims to review recent advancements in AI and assess their impact on patient rights and autonomy in healthcare decision-making.Additionally, it explores the need for legal safeguards to protect patient values and preferences, thereby upholding human dignity and principles.
