Abstract

Coordinate metrology, or measurement systems, are an important part of Industry 4.0 and 5.0, which result in a range of data recorded for all production departments. The data can be used not only for inspection, but especially for prediction in the production cycle. At Coordinate Metrology Laboratory, research has been carried out for many years on virtual measurement systems, which have found their place, as elements of the digital twins that are widespread in the assumptions of Industry 4.0. The assumptions of the digital twin in coordinate metrology will be described on the basis of Redundant systems, which are Coordinate Measuring Arms or measuring robots with an open kinematic chain design. This model also takes into account non-Cartesian designs (CMS - Coordinate Measurement Systems).
