Abstract
A physical model has been established by calculating its flow physical quantities for spinning rotor degassing of aluminum alloys. Purification of aluminum alloys has been simulated using the CO2 - NaOH system, and the change in hydrogen content in aluminum alloys has been estimated by monitoring the change in pH due to changing of CO2. The results of studying factors influencing spinning robot degassing of aluminum alloys indicated that the rotational speed of rotor has significant effect on purification efficiency, and the flow rate has secondary effect. Optimal process parameters and the principle for selection of process parameters have been established from the results of simulation for purification of aluminium alloys. It has been proved by comparing the spinning rotor degassing purification process with the conventional C2 Cl6 purification process that the spinning rotor degassing purification process has excellent dehydrogenation effect.
