Assembly Robot Ground Experiments for Space Solar Power System in JAXA

Abstract

This paper describes the robotic assembly for the very large-scaled structures such as space solar power system. The technological challenges toward its autonomous assembly are discussed. The ground testbed developed in JAXA for confirming feasibility and the ground experiments for assembling the flexible structures are described.
