Abstract
Two issues related to robot calibration are addressed in this communication. The first issue is how many position-dependent error parameters should be used in modeling a robot manipulator. The second issue is how to select a proper identification Jacobian when only position measurements of the robot end effector are available. Conclusions are made regarding these issues after short discussions.
