Abstract
This article shows a simulation environment in 3D for laparoscopic surgeries, using three virtual robots. Two of them are surgical robots and the third one is an endoscopic holder, designed at the University of Cauca. These three robots are manipulated by two joysticks. The system permits the user to see the movement of the surgical robots in the abdominal cavity and the organs involved in a laparoscopic surgery. The obtained environment constitutes a starting point for future surgical simulator.
