Abstract

Smart Solar Grass Cutter with Lawn Coverage is a self-guided, solar-powered green robot designed to automate lawn cutting through intelligent navigation and solar energy use. The core goal of the project is to design a grass cutting machine that is self-sustaining in nature, has the capability to work on its own without the need for manual operation, and maximizes the coverage area. Driven by a rechargeable battery and a solar panel, the system utilizes several sensors such as ultrasonic, GPS, and IMU for path planning, obstacle detection, and orientation. Motion and cutting are controlled by a microcontroller or a microprocessor, which performs optimal algorithms to cut the lawn and move systematically. The device has a high-speed motor-powered rotating blade and a compact, lightweight chassis suitable for outdoor use. The design is composed on energy efficiency, mechanization and environment. By incorporating intelligent software, real-time sensor data, and mechanical design optimization, the smart solar grass cutter provides a low-maintenance, dependable substitute for traditional lawn mowers and is a viable solution for today's smart homes and public parks.
