Abstract

The rise of educational robotics has transformed learning, especially in STEM, by emphasizing hands-on, experiential methods that enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The integration of AI technologies enables educational robots to adapt learning styles and provide personalized feedback, creating a dynamic learning shift that not only improves teaching outcomes but also sustainable development goals by encouraging students to tackle real-world challenges using robotics and AI. In a study focused on Indonesian higher education, qualitative methods of semi-structured interviews revealed that while AI-enhanced robotics improves engagement and learning outcomes, significant barriers such as limited infrastructure, financial constraints, and a lack of faculty training hinder Concerns regarding data privacy and algorithmic bias were also noted. Despite these challenges, highlights the potential of AI-integrated robotics to cultivate sustainability awareness and environmental stewardship providing valuable insights for policymakers and educators on effective curricula.
