Abstract
In this paper, dynamic torsional deformation of the golf club on down swing is numerically analyzed. The club shaft is modeled by finite element model to analyze torsional deformation on down swing. When equations of motion set up, the external force is the inertia torque which acts on the club head. From these results, dynamic strain of the club shaft is calculated and they are compared with actual measurement value by swing robot. As a result, dynamic torsional deformation can be calculated by FEM programs and numerical deformation can be represented such as real deformation.
